5. 3. 1. Visit Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls is back for 2024, taking place from Sunday 25 August to Friday 20 September on Britannia Bowling Greens.
      
      Please complete the following entry form and online payment to take part in the 2024 tournament. Participation is £7 per person per game (£5 per person for Under 21s Open Singles). Don’t forget to order your programmes too, at £2.50 per programme for a printed version or £1 per programme for a PDF version (sent via email).

      Over 60s Open Singles: 15 -17 September

      General Terms and Conditions 2024
      
      Entry fees will not be refunded to players withdrawing from the tournament.
      
      All entries must be received by 17 June 2024, entries received after this date cannot be guaranteed a place within the Tournament. Name and address details of entrants will be retained until 31 December 2027, after which time it will be confidentially destroyed.
      
      Dress for all games up to semi-finals will be white tops and grey trousers for men and grey trousers or skirts for the ladies. Club and County shirts can be worn but all members of team must be the same. (Football shirts not allowed). Bowls England shorts may be worn. Footwear should be Bowls manufactured shoes.
      
      Semi finals and finals will be white or club shirts, trousers, shorts or skirts along with white bowling shoes.
      
      All competition winners will be paid by BACs transfer and must provide bank details on completion of finals.
      
      If a player fails to appear on the rink within 15 minutes of the time appointed for play, he/she may be disqualified and any complete team failing to arrive within the time limit will forfeit all rights to any prize money on offer.
      
      No substitute will be allowed for singles competitions, and only one substitute will be allowed in all other events. At least one person’s name must be on the original entry form. The team originally named in the first game of any competition will be deemed to be that team’s entry. No person named in the programme for a competition can transfer from one team to another.
      
      Format of competitions will be determined on entries.
      
      Failure of a team to complete their full fixtures could mean exclusion from future competitions and any game not played will mean a score of 10-4 will be entered as the result.
      
      When an extra end must be played, the skips will toss for the cast of the jack and the mat placed as for the first end and this procedure will be adopted on all extra ends thereafter.
      
      Singles 21 up; Pairs 18 ends; Triples 18 ends; Fours 18 ends. No trial ends.
      
      In all games the official scorecard must be filled in and signed by both skips and returned to the office as soon as possible to allow the Tournament Manager time for the next issue. The winning skips should return both cards.
      
      First in draw to provide marker.
      
      All trophies to be held for one year. Winners will be responsible for the proper keeping and safe return of trophies, at least 42 days prior to the start of the next tournament.
      
      To play in Over 60’s tournaments, players must be 60 at the start of the Over 60’s tournaments.

    Data Sharing: Your data will be used for this specific purpose although your details will be shared between Council departments and Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls Committee where there is lawful authority to do so. Your information will be kept strictly confidential. It will be stored in a secure, password-protected data base/spreadsheet on the Council's computer system.
    Retention: Your personal information will be kept for 3 years from the conclusion of the tournament. We will only use your data within the terms of data protection laws, will delete your data securely and only keep it for as long as necessary. We will review dates for keeping personal data in the future and if necessary, update these privacy notices.
    Your rights: You have a number of rights available to you, including the right to see copies of all the data held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to request the Council to restrict what it does with your data in certain circumstances, to object to what the Council may do with your data, and to data portability. Please note that these rights are not absolute and there are circumstances where they do not apply or the Council may override these rights, however, if this is the case you will be informed of this.
